Dr. Georgescu is a Board-Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist and the founder of Neuropsychology Insights. She specializes in delivering neuropsychological services to children, adolescents, and adults facing a range of neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions. Driven by a passion for exploring the brain-behavior connection, Dr. Georgescu is committed to helping individuals understand their cognitive strengths and weaknesses, and to supporting them in achieving their personal and professional goals.
Dr. Georgescu's expertise is enhanced by her diverse socio-educational and professional background. She is bilingual and has lived and worked in various countries across Europe and the United States. Her broad experience includes utilizing neuropsychological assessments to guide individuals in their career development and professional aspirations.
She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, the oldest APA-accredited program of its kind in the United States. Her clinical training includes externships at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation in New Jersey, a neuropsychology focused internship at the Central Arkansas VA Medical Center in Little Rock, and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. Dr. Georgescu is a California licensed psychologist. She achieved board certification in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology.
Throughout her career, Dr. Georgescu has worked in various environments, including the headquarters of multinational corporations, skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals. She currently serves as a staff neuropsychologist at Kaiser Permanente while also maintaining a private practice. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling internationally with her family.
